My reference: About.com
Before: The beautiful Checkerboard Lace Scarf, fresh off the needles.
Blocking: I hand-stretched the scarf so you could see the checkerboard diamond pattern better. Then I placed an unused top sheet on the carpeted floor in the bedroom and laid out the scarf. I used ball head pins to anchor the new dimensions. Using a spray bottle, I spritzed the scarf until damp, but not soaking wet.
I let the scarf dry overnight, and it held the new shape, showcasing the pattern. On a side note, I LOVE this pattern. :)
