Double knitting with 2 colors creates a two-sided material, with both sides in stockinette stitch. The colors on one side will be shown in reverse on the other side.
Cast on as normal, holding both strands of yarn (Color A and Color B) together as one.
FYI: Slipping the first stitch of each color in each row and purling them together at the end of each row creates a clean, neat edge.
(Right Side) Row 1: Slip the first stitch of each color. With both colors in back, K1 Color A. Then with both colors in back, P1 Color B. Repeat until end of row, then purl both colors together.
(Wrong Side) Row 2: Slip the first stitch of each color. With both colors in back, K1 Color B. Then with both colors in back, P1 Color A. Repeat until end of row, then purl both colors together.
To show a pattern (to show Color B on the right side, for example), pull both colors to the front and P1 Color A, then move both colors to back and K1 Color B.
I will expand upon and clarify this entry at a later point.
